LARGE PAINTED TERRACOTTA FOO DOG, C.1920

An unusually large painted terracotta sculpture of a guardian lion, or foo dog. Traditionally placed in an entryway or just outside the front door, to keep unwanted visitors at bay.

Condition report: Presents in dramatic condition and is ready for placement. Wear to terracotta as pictured, including on snout and paws. Missing one scale from mane.
