DUTCH PORTRAIT OF A MILITARY OFFICER, C.1720

An early 18th century portrait of a Dutch military officer. The crimson sash and decorative armour were reserved for gentlemen of top martial standing.

Condition report: Painting presents in fine antique condition and is ready to hang. Canvas was relined in the 19th century and features an elegant craquelure. Frame is stable, with general wear expected for its age.
